Patnaik Department of Computer Science Microprocessor Applications Laboratory Curtin University of Technology Indian Institute of Science AUSTRALIA INDIA Original and previously unpublished papers are solicited for a special issue of The Computer Journal on Automatic Loop Parallelization planned for 1997. Automatic parallelization of loop-based sequential programs will play a very important role in facilitating the use of high performance computers. Papers should emphasize new original contributions of either theoretical or experimental nature. Topics of interest include (but not limited to), Loop Transformation Techniques Loop Transformation Theory and Program Partitioning Impact of Architectures on Paralleizing Compilers Cache Performance Optimization Communication Overheads Performance Analysis of Transformation Techniques Loop Parallization on Network of Workstations Special Purpose Architectures Instruction Level Parallelism and Software Pipelining Software Issues Five copies (maximum 35 double spaced pages) of papers should be submitted to the address shown below. Authors are encouraged to submit PostScript files by electronic mail to 'tcjloop@cs.curtin.edu.au'. Hard copies of the manuscript,figures, and tables will be required if the paper is accepted for publication. Work submitted for publication must be previously unpublished not under consideration for publication elsewhere and, if accepted, it should not then be published elsewhere in the same form. If previously published figures, tables, or parts of text are to be included, the copyright-holder's permission must have been obtained prior to submission.
