ALGORITHMICA Call For Papers: Special Issue on Coarse Grained Parallel Algorithms Editor: Frank Dehne ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scope of the Special Issue: Submissions are invited for a special issue of Algorithmica on coarse grained parallel algorithms. Papers are solicited on all algorithmic aspects related to the programming of realistic, commercially available, parallel machines with a limited number of processors and considerable local memory (possibly secondary memory) and processing power available at each processor. Experimental as well as theoretical work is invited. A rigorous analysis of the algorithmic performance, based on realistic assumptions about the parallel architecture, is necessary. Theoretical work accompanied by experimental results is especially valued. Current surveys or reviews are also welcome. For more information please contact the special issue editor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Important Dates: * Submission Deadline: June 1, 1997. * Acceptance Decision: by October 31, 1997 * Final Version Due: November 31, 1997 * Publication Date: tentatively by July 1998 Electronic Submission: Submission by email is preferred. Please email a postscript file (plain ASCII, no encoding or compression) together with a plain text cover letter to dehne@scs.carleton.ca. Postal Submission: Please send six copies of your manuscript to the special issue editor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Special Issue Editor: Professor Frank Dehne School of Computer Science Carleton University Ottawa, Canada K1S 5B6 (613) 520-4333, fax (613) 520-4334, dehne@scs.carleton.ca http://www.scs.carleton.ca/scs/faculty/dehne.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------
