CALL FOR PAPERS (I-SPAN '96) INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON PARALLEL ARCHITECTURES, ALGORITHMS, AND NETWORKS June 12-14, 1996, Beijing, China SCOPE OF SYMPOSIUM: The International Symposium on Parallel Architectures, Algorithms, and Networks (I-SPAN) is a forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners throughout the world to exchange ideas and research results related to the design, use, analysis and, application of parallel architectures, algorithms, and networks. The second symposium will be held on June 12-14, 1996 in Beijing, China. The first such symposium was held in Kanazawa, Japan on December 14-16, 1994. I-SPAN '96 will include keynote addresses, invited/contributed papers, and presentations by designers of current on-going projects on high performance computing and communication systems. Papers presenting original and fundamental contributions in parallel architectures, algorithms, and networks are sought. Papers relating to high performance systems, computing, and communications are of particular interest. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following: (1) Parallel Architectures (7) Fault Tolerance Issues and Systems (2) Parallel Algorithms (8) Optical Interconnections and Computing (3) Interconnection Networks (9) Telecommunication Network Design and Optimization (4) VLSI Network Design (10) ATM Architecture and Network Protocols (5) Network Routing and (11) Wireless and Mobile Communication Algorithms Interconnection and Networks (6) Mapping and Scheduling (12) Massively Parallel Processing Parallel Compution Systems SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Authors are invited to submit five copies of their complete papers in English to one of the following: For Authors in China For Architecture Related Papers (a) Professor Guo-Jie Li (b) Professor Susumu Horiguchi (Program Chair of I-SPAN '96) (Program Vice Chair of I-SPAN '96) National Research Center for Graduate School of Intelligent Computing Systems (NCIC) InformationScience Chinese Academy of Sciences, Japan Advanced Institute of P.O.
