About me

I'm a fourth year PhD student in the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Before this, I was a masters student in the LTI. My advisor is Jaime Carbonell. I am also extremely fortunate to work with Larry Wasserman, John Lafferty, and Aarti Singh.

Research

I am broadly interested in statistical machine learning, i.e. in understanding the statistical properties of machine learning algorithms. I am also interested in convex optimization and applications of machine learning to computational biology. Some of my publications are here.
