Kvitsoe Norway

Another hot day with no wind. Ironically we are sailing in these waters known for their dangerous refraction waves begging for more wind. We finally get the answer to how much gas is left in the tank when our otherwise loyal Japanse Yanmar engine lose power and finally comes to a pathetic halt. Estimated fix time 5 minutes. Actual fix time 2 hours carefully following the instructions in the Yanmar manual under "trivial malfunctions". But who says that you can actually reach the bolts you need to turn ...

As night approaches, I catch this coaster being just a tiny white spot on the huge barren coastline.

I don't recall this guy.

We picked Kvitsoe when we had spread all the sea maps on the floor in Copenhagen and found the amazing air photos of kvitsoe in the Norwegian Losbook.

It is a nature harbor that was used by the Vikings and made a perfect loading spot for fishers.

Hundreds of islands surround Kvitsoe making it hard to enter in bad wheather, as we later would experience.

A colorful shelfish.

A happy cook
