Summer Conference 2001 Review Session

The goal of the review session is to provide a flavor / highlights of the various machine learning conferences that took place this summer, including: ICML, COLT and KDD by presenting short summaries of some of the papers presented at the conference. The following people have been kind enough to volunteer discuss specific papers:

John Langford
- COLT paper by Peter Grunwald: Strong Entropy Concentration, Game Theory and Algorithmic Randomness
Ricardo Silva
- KDD Paper by Geoff Hulten and Laurie Spencer and Pedro Domingos: Mining Time-Changing Data Streams
Martin Zinkevich
- ICML paper by Theodore Perkins and Andrew Barto: Lyapunov-Constrained Action Sets for Reinforcement Learning

The session will be held on Monday (9/24) at Noon in Wean 8220.
