Welcome to PGSS 2004!

You probably want to look at the Syllabus and Resources items in the menu on the left, as well as the Lecture notes there.
(I could have linked them to this text, but you might as well start using the menu now.)

Also, be sure to look at the Textbook link, for any mistakes discovered in the textbook!

If anyone wants to talk with me one-on-one, send me email.

Fri July 16: Who is in charge of Internet domain names? Look here.

Mon July 19: I thought this was pretty cool: the guy who invented the WWW was knighted on Friday!

Wed July 21: Another cool news story: IPv6 was just installed in the top-level domain name servers!
(That's the new version of TCP/IP with bazillions of possible addresses,
needed because we're actually going to run out of IPv4 addresses.)

Sat July 31: The 2004 FishNet tournament Grand Prize winner is:
ws, by Adam Bildersee and Puru Rattan. Congratulations, Adam and Puru!
The Grand Prize (a bag of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers!) was awarded at the PGSS Banquet.
Full details are available on the 2004 FishNet Tournament webpage.
