Advice

I just want to encourage you to take a semester or two of computer science in high school or college if you haven't already. Reasons to suggest this:

• A true course will give you a lot more programming practice and a much more thorough treatment than you can get in a four-week course with only three assignments.
• You'll definitely have solid preparation for it if you have a good grip on this course.
• Whatever you end up doing, some background in computer science won't hurt and could help. Just about every field gets involved with computers in some way, and the understanding you'd get from a course could definitely be useful.

I'm not out to recruit computer science majors. (The world needs more, but that's true of many good fields. And I find it very fun, but not everybody will.) But I do want to encourage you to at least learn a little more. I hope you take away from this course at least the confidence to do more.
