The six programs that passed the qualifying round (see below) competed with each
other for the Grand Prize (a bag of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish
crackers!)
The exhaustive (and exhausting) final round involved playing each
pair of finalists about 50 times, giving them one point for each
win and one-half point for each tie.
