The toy consists of a hollow boat formed from plastic. There are two paddle wheels located at the rear of the boat consisting of several paddles. The wheels are
attached together on a single shaft. The shaft has a coil spring that allows the user to "wind up" the wheel. Upon release in water the wheels paddle clockwise propelling
the boat forward.

The user learns about flotation and about the basic idea momentum.
This toy can be played with in the bath or in a sink etc. The toy is also fun because it is a familar shape to a child.
The boat is made from injection molded plastic for both the boat and the wheels. The metal spring inside is well protected.
The toy is very light and soft enough that no real saftey hazzards exist.
Due to its makeup and function the toy should be quite durable.
The toy would be extremely cheap to manufacture and would retail for a low cost as well.
