| Size limitation is dependent on the model of the machine used in FDM. The FDM 1650 and FDM 2000 can manufacture parts up to 254 * 254 * 254 mm3 (10 * 10 * 10 in3) having an accuracy within 127 mm (.005 in). However, the FDM Quantum has a larger sizing and can manufacture parts up to 600 * 500 * 600 mm3 (23.6 * 19.7 * 23.6 in3) having an accuracy of 127 mm (.005 in) as well. With all models, up to five files can be manufactured at once, so long as the files fit within the allocated space. The only restriction FDM has on shape is that it cannot be used to manufacture anything that has a hollow inside (eg. hollow box, hollow sphere, etc.) |
