Exercise 2: Garfield's 6 pack holder
I really really really hate cardboard. It took about 4 hours to make what eventually survived. There were a couple other ideas, but my luck with cardboard remained troublesome, at best. Straight cuts with a straight-edge were made, cardboard would give, and the straight cuts would turn curvy. Pieces of cardboard would fall apart. It got to the point where I just stopped finessing it and made something that would hold together. That worked....finally
