Simple Hopper Hand Hopper Poolside Frog Jumper
Home

What is it? The hand held hopper works on the physical concept of springs. The child pushes the plastic frog into the slot in the top of the plastic log. It locks itself in position with the spring fully compressed. I am not sure how the locking mechanism would work. The child then pushes the lever down in the back which sends the plastic frog leaping out of the log.

How do you make it? The toy is much harder to make than the first. It has a couple complex shapes especially the shell of the toy. It is made of plastic and stainless steel for the springs and perhaps the bolts.

Safety and Durability: The safety is certainly always a question with projectiles. This could be a safety problem if children look into the log to see inside when it is loaded. Durability is not as high as concept 1 but is better than 3. It should be relatively durable.
