Grappling Hook Man
Interaction : Children play with grappling hook man by pressing the hook down on the spring inside of his backpack. A button on the backpack is then pressed to release the spring, causing the hook to be shot out. The hook is tied by a string to the inside of the backpack and is rewound once the hook has been released. The string can be rewound by first winding up a motor attached to the string and by pressing another button which will release the motor. Kids can use their creativity and imagination to have adventures with the toy and watch him climb walls, bars, etc.
Toy Principle : Energy is stored via a spring. The release of this energy results in projectile motion of the hook. Also, a small windup motor (rotation) caused the string to be pulled back.
Durability, Safety, etc : The toy can be molded out of cheap plastic. Other materials such as metal for the spring and string for the hook must also be used. Small parts such as the hook can be hazardous to small children and should be taken into consideration if it is marketed. The string may break but can easily be replaced.
