Paddle Boat Toy
Interaction : Young children (4-8) can play with this little boat in the bath tub. Water is poured in the reservoir above the boat and as the water drips down the spout onto the paddle, they can watch the boat move. Also, the tank which holds the water is on rails, so the child can move the spout over different sides of the paddle, causing the boat to move forward or backward.
Toy Principle : Translation of stored energy (reservoir) into rotational (paddle) and linear motion.
Durability, Safety, etc : The toy will be made out of cheap plastic. Plastic should provide for a long lifespan as long as the boat is not abused much. All corners should be rounded in order to avoid injury.
