Baby toy to learn shapes and colors
Principles: It engages a childs mind and body by pushing buttons, hearing sounds, seeing lights, matching shapes and learning to share. This toy is meant to teach the child cause and effect.
Description of use: The child pushes the button at the top of the toy. This releases a plastic block down one of the shoots, either on the left or the right. The block fits into one of the shapes on the toy. The child is reinforced by a voice asking the child where the block belongs. If the child still does not find the correct shape, a light will illuminate the correct shape directing the child's attention to it. The toy will alternate which shoot the block will come out of allowing for the toy to be shared by two children. This toy is suitable for children ages 2-3 years.
Product discussion: The cost of constructing a toy like this may range from $15-$30. Since there are lights and sounds as well as moving parts causing it to require batteries this toy may be pricey. It is made of a durable plastic material that is safe for young children to put in their mouth.
