Toy Concept 1: Helicopter

Principle: Child will learn about motion and how gears work in the helicopter. The child will learn that turning the mechanism causes the helicopter blades to rotate and will see that the gears inside cause the blades to start spinning.
Description of Helicopter
- To play with the toy, the child must turn the handle to make the helicopter blades start spinning.
- There are wheels located on the bottom of the helicopter so the child will be able to roll the helicopter along a smooth surface.
- The front windows are clear, so the child will be able to look inside the helicopter and learn about the inner workings of the helicopter.
Additional Info
- All of the helicopter parts will be made of hard plastic to keep the toy safe for children, to keep construction cost down, and allow the helicopter to be durable.
- The helicopter blades will not rotate very fast so the children cannot hurt themselves.
- The age group for this toy is 3-8. Kids of all ages can learn how mechanisms work inside the toy.
- The cost of the toy will be inexpensive, about $10.
