The goal of this experiment is to demonstrate the effects of air flow, in the form of wind. The effects of air flow will be demonstrated by showing sand reacting with wind, blowing in various speeds and directions. Sand would be located in a tank that had several wind blowers positioned at different. The participant would be able to adjust the positions and speeds of wind blowers, as well as how many blowers would act at one time. The result is the creation of sand dunes. The wind is generated by a pump which the participant operates. In addition, the sand could be reset after each use to show the child that the pattern shown by the same dunes is never the same.
