About

I am a faculty member in the Robotics Institute where I hold the position of Senior Systems Scientist. I also have a courtesy appointment in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. My research interests focus on problems regarding how robots can operate robustly in human environments (indoors, roadways, industrial, etc...) and in particular how they can interact effectively with the people that inhabit those spaces.

I am on leave from CMU as of November 2012. I am not taking any new students or projects at this time.
