I am a Doctoral student in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, working under the advisorship of Mary Shaw and David Garlan. I collaborate closely with Joćo Sousa, Bradley Schmerl, and Rajesh Krishna Balan on project Aura, which is a software infrastructure aimed at reducing user's distraction when dealing with computers.
My research falls at the intersection of software engineering and ubiquitous computing. Specifically, I apply utility-theoretic models to designing and implementing an architecture for automating some of the routine chores that lay users do in the course of performing their daily computer tasks.
