I'm a new COS Ph.D. student at CMU, doing research on social networks in the MMORPG EVE Online under Kathleen Carley.
Background (in brief)
I graduated from Princeton University in 2006 with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Theater & Dance; my senior thesis was advised by Scott Karlin and Larry Petersen, while my Junior Papers were advised by Adam Finkelstein and Szymon Rusinkiewicz. I spent my spare time elsewhere.Post-graduation, I joined Project 55 and spent a year in the city of Chicago working for Lumity, an excellent NPO. I again tended to spend my spare time elsewhere, both significantly and as a volunteer.
