Use PL² for free
Due to COVID-19, many school systems across the country have been closed, with students, parents, and teachers needing additional support to maintain high-level mathematics learning. During this time, we are offering our app, PL², for free for parents and teachers to use to support their children/students as they learn math at home online. Currently, we are partnering with MATHia, an educational technology platform from Carnegie Learning, who is offering free access to their grades 6-12 math resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.
How does PL² work?
PL² partners with companies who provide resources for students learning math online. The company feeds the student's data from the online platform to the researchers at CMU who populate PL² once each week. Then, PL² displays each student's time in the app, number of problems solved, and percent accuracy (compiled each week) over time. Finally, PL² provides resources to help teachers, parents, mentors, and tutors support the students as they learn math online. Please see our PL² Overview page for more information about how to use PL². Once you have an account, you can access the app by clicking the PL² app button in the top right corner of the webpage.
