Welcome

I am a Ph.D. student in the Human-Computer Interaction Insititute at Carnegie Mellon University. The HCII is part of the school of computer science and covers the fields of computer science, psychology, and design.

My research is on mobile social computing and community technologies. I am very interested in exploring ways that technology can improve the way that people interact with one another, share experiences, and relate to their community. My advisor is professor Jason Hong.

One aspect of my research involves trying to understand what drives people in their social relationships and their community interaction. Another aspect of my research involves the engineering challenges of developing robust frameworks to support social computing.
