I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computation, Organizations, and Society at Carnegie Mellon University. My research uses information design to educate people about data privacy. I have projects on passwords, location-sharing, privacy policies, mobile apps, Twitter, and Facebook grouping. My thesis is on the design and use of standardized, user-friendly privacy displays for web privacy policies and Android application permission displays.

I take photographs and eventually post them online (at smugmug!). For a site with thousands of older not-yet-ported-over photos see flickr.
