iSite Enterprise Control Strip

The Control Strip is the fixed point of your iSite Enterprise session. It will launch automatically after you have logged in to the iSite Enterprise Server.

The Control Strip contains the Patients Tab and the User Manual Button (?). This area of the iSite Enterprise Window will remain constant throughout your work with iSite Enterprise. After selecting patient exams, you will see the View Exams Tab (discussed below) in the lower-right corner of the iSite Enterprise Control Strip. These tabs will be your gateway to viewing patient exams.

The initial window you will see after logging into iSite Enterprise will be the Patient Directory. The Patient Directory consists of the Patient List, which shows the patients and exams that are available for viewing and the sortable column headers, as seen below.

Patient Directory

The Patient Directory is the first screen to be displayed when you log in to iSite. The Directory allows you to quickly locate specific patients and their exams by searching for specific criteria such as patient name, patient ID, exam date, patient location etc. The resulting list can be sorted by the various column headers.

Selecting Patients

Select a patient by clicking the patient's name.  This opens a list of the patientís exams that are available for viewing.

Exams that have reports associated with them display the symbol next to their listing. This icon indicates that a radiologist's diagnostic report is present and can be viewed. To view the report without opening the exam itself, right-click on the symbol and select "show report" from the pop-up menu. This option will be displayed if no report is present.

If you wish to open all the exams for a certain patient simply double-click the patient listing.

More than one patient can be opened at once. Having selected one or more patients, you can then select any number of exams for viewing in that patientís canvas page.

Deselect patients in the same way you selected them, by clicking on the arrow to the left of their name. The patient's exam-list will subsequently collapse.

Selecting Exams

Once you have selected a patient and revealed their list of available exams, select the exams you wish to view by clicking that exam once. The listing will be highlighted. To open that exam immediately, double-click the exam listing. If you wish to select multiple exams, either from a single patient or from multiple patients, click each listing while holding down the Control Key. Double-click the last exam listing to open all of the exams simultaneously.

Deselect exams in the same way that you selected them, by holding down the Control Key and clicking the listing.

Viewing Exams

Once you have located the desired patient and exams, double-clicking will automatically take you to the iSite Enterprise Canvas Page, where you will view the diagnostic images.

If you had selected more than one patient, you can choose which patient to view by right-clicking the View Exams Tab and selecting the desired patient from the drop-down menu, as seen below.

The drop-down menu displays that patients' name, sex, date of birth and Patient ID. The last patient to be displayed is indicated with a check-mark. Choose any patient from the list and that patient's exams will be displayed. You can also close all open patients from this menu by selecting the "Close All Patient(s)" option.

Close All

If you wish to close all of the exams that have been opened in the Patient List, click the Close All button located in the upper left-hand corner of the Sort and Search fields.

Accessing Diagnostic Reports from the Patient List

You can access the diagnostic report for an exam by right-clicking the exam listing. A menu will be displayed, as seen below.

Show Report: If the report symbol () is present, you can view the diagnostic report of the exam in question, by selecting the "Show Report" option. If available, the report will be displayed. For more information on diagnostic reports, please see the corresponding section of this manual, titled "Viewing Diagnostic Reports."
