I am a fifth year PhD student in Language Technologies Institute ofSchool of Computer Science inCarnegie Mellon University. Prior toCMU, I was an undergraduate inBiological Sciences and Bioengineering Program inSabanci University, Turkey.

I am interested in computational approaches for solving biological problems. I have worked in transmembrane protein structures/folding related problems and recently started working on protein interaction networks in the context of host pathogen interactions. I am a member of Pittsburgh Center for HIV Host Interactions. In Fall 2009, I am teaching assistant for the Machine Learning Course, 10601.
