Majd Sakr Brief Bio

Majd F. Sakr is a Teaching Professor in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University and Chief Learning and Research Officer at Accenture and Accenture LearnVantage. His work spans artificial intelligence, workforce capability, learning sciences, and cloud computing, with a focus on helping organizations build technical expertise and adapt to rapidly changing technologies.

At Carnegie Mellon, Prof. Sakr co-founded the Technology for Effective and Efficient Learning (TEEL) Lab, where he leads research on AI-enabled learning, experiential education, intelligent tutoring systems, workforce development, and learning analytics. His research has been supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the U.S. Department of Defense, the Gates Foundation, Office of Naval Research (ONR), Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Honda, and other industry and government partners.

At Accenture, Prof. Sakr leads learning research and innovation, helping shape AI-enabled workforce transformation for one of the world's largest professional services organizations. His work focuses on measuring capability development, accelerating skills acquisition, and integrating learning with business outcomes at enterprise scale.

Prof. Sakr has authored over 70+ publications spanning AI in education, workforce training, cloud computing, learning technologies, and human-AI collaboration. He teaches Carnegie Mellon's Cloud Computing and Advanced Cloud Computing courses and has received multiple best paper awards for his research.
