Handin Instructions

15-121 Introduction to Data Structures

To hand in your homework or lab assignments electronically,
  1. Create a .zip file (i.e., compressed or archived) of the files you want to submit. Please do not submit .rar or other compressed format file. You should submit the .java files needed to compile your programming project, including any .java files supplied with the assignment, and the plain-text ASCII .txt file of your answers to any assignment written problems. Please do not submit any .doc, .docx, or .rtf files.
  2. Submit your .zip file to the Handin system for grading:

    1. From your web browser, log in to the Handin System.
    2. Click on the Submit Assignment button at the bottom of the page.
    3. On the Submit Assignment page, find Select assignment: and select the appropriate assignment.
    4. Click the Choose File button to select your .zip file.
    5. Finally, click the Submit my file button to submit your assignment.

Handin will list all the files that you submitted in your .zip file, but you cannot read the content of these files. Look to see whether the .java and .txt files are about the correct size. We recommend that you keep a copy of your assignment and the email feedback that you receive for your records.

NOTE: You may submit your assignment as many times as you wish. We will grade the last submission that you submitted before the two-day late assignment deadline. We suggest that you make your first submission well before the deadline, even if the assignment is not complete. Unexpected problems may arise that prevent you from submitting just before the deadline. An incomplete program will get a better score than no program!

DO NOT EMAIL YOUR ASSIGNMENT FLES, OR SUBMIT A FILE THAT IS NOT A .zip FILE OF YOUR ASSIGNMENTT FOLDER. IT WILL NOT BE GRADED! If you are having trouble, contact your instructor or course assistant as soon as possible for assistance.
