Brief Research Statement :

I am currently interested in studying the issues preventing the technical and theoretical accomplishments of computational game theory from realizing their full potential to impact the way a wider population navigates social and economic systems. This includes simplifying real-world games, replacing unrealistic assumptions about strict rationality and optimal equilibrium behavior, and developing more efficient practical and usable mehcanisms for large electronic markets.

Short Biography :

I am currently a PhD candidate in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. I am in their newest computer science program called Computation Organization and Society (COS), which emphasizes the "last-mile" issues involved in bringing computational advances to the real-world. I grew up in Huntington, NY on Long Island. I did my undergraduate studies at Brown University, where I graduated with honors from the Computer Science Department.

At CMU I am currently being advised by Norman Sadeh, and Tuomas Sandholm. While at Brown I was advised by Amy Greenwald.

In my free time, I enjoy playing games, listening to music, watching TV, reading books, and staying healthy. I recently got engaged to Jessica Wisdom.
