I'm currently working on the Automated Highway System project at the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute. We are studying ways to make our national freeway system safer and less congested by introducing automation to the existing driving environment. Stay tuned!
Before working in land-based transportation, I worked as an Aerospace Engineer at the Johnson Space Center for the NASA Space Shuttle program. Cool stuff! There are lots of great space photos off of these pages--have a look-see, ya'll!
Pittsburgh is a fine place to live and play in. After nine years of banishment in Texas, I'm enjoying the seasons, the snow, the trees, the snow, the countryside, the snow....
When I worked in Houston, I thought that a native "Pittsburgher" that I worked with had a speech impediment. The hard, cold truth is that all Pittsburghers do. Before braving a journey to "Da Burgh," you may want to learn to translate Pittsburghese into plain ol' English.
My interests include Tae Kwon Do, Byzantine chanting, photography, cooking, gardening, and quilting.
