RE: Question for Ian Piper

Steve:

We've had very good quality in our carry cases for the past few years.  DES has a one year warranty on the product for manufacturer's defects, and it is up to DES to determine whether the product can be repaired or needs to be replaced.  Abuse and neglect are not covered under our warranty.

As there hasn't been any previous evidence that we have a quality problem with the bags, I'll reserve judgment on the manufacturer's quality until after we examine these 15-20 bags that Placer will return.  Have Placer contact DES McKinney to organize the return.

Sincerely:

Subject: Question for Ian Piper

Ian,

Placer is reporting that 15-20 of the AVOS bags have broken zippers.
They've only had the bags a year or so.  What is our replacement policy?
They've been used in two elections only.  Seems like the manufacturer has
cheapened the zipper or something.

Has anyone else reported zippers failing in large numbers for bags sold in
the past two years?

Steve
