RE: AVTS modem upload BS 4.3.11
I am also seeing my settings (unchecking "Use software compression") being
reset whenever I make any changes in the transfer results dialogue, i.e.
host name, phone number, username, etc.
So basically, in order for me to be able to modem in, I will have to make
sure that everything lines up perfectly. I am only using 2 modem
accumulation sites so I think I can control the situation, however, I am
concerned about the other jurisdictions.

There should be no 'correct slot'. The modem should work in either slot.
As for the "Use Software Compression" this has always been set and has
worked in the past. Do you have all of the service packs installed? There is
a reference in Microsoft's Knowledge base about a problem with WinNT's RAS
and software compression that was fixed in SP 4.
