Re: Preference races and reject behavior for Wisconsin



If the voter makes a selection in the preference race and crosses over (votes for another party's race down the ballot), the ballot is not rejected.  The crossover race is ignored.If the voter does not make a selection in the preference race and crosses over (votes for races of more than one party), the ballot is rejected.
  This is the defined behavior for the party preference race.
