Is there an alternative coming up in GEMS to burn Mgr Card vs. the Dunhill solution Kerry mentions here?

Send these questions to the support list people.  I am not going to bring this up many more times.

Burning manager cards doesn't have to do with the Dunhill code -- manager cards predate Dunhill.

There is no plan to add this to GEMS, but we will add the functionality to the Poll Book some time after Nov 4.  We don't want to confuse things with more TS releases this close to the elections.  This functionality will be provided through a third card -- a administrator card, that has the ability to burn other admin cards as well as manager cards.  The idea being, this will not be allowed for polling place people.  Clearing results and deleting elections will also only be allowed with this card type.

This only happens to me when I accidentally leave the manager card in the pollbook when opening it and hit create card.  The System does let you know that it is a Manager card.  The wording on the error is a little trickey, and if you hit ok it will write over the card.  In order to create a new Manager card you will need the CPM software from EPS 2000 (Dunhill's Stuff).  You can re-write the controls onto the card just like a voter card the only trickey part is you need a Manager card to start up the CPM software.

Marin was closing one of their four ballot stations at the end of the day.  They were using a manager card and had closed three down already.  On the fourth one, instead of bringing up the manager admin screen as it did with the others..... I swear.....it brought up a ballot.  They then went to the end of the ballot and cancelled it.  They then reinserted the manager card and it no longer had any functioning at all, light on reader just cycled.  I got another manager card and closed unit down.  This brings up the following questions:
1) Has this happened to anyone else?
2) How do I create more manager cards?
3) Can cards be "broken" or do you just reburn them like a memory card?
Thanks
