I defended in March 2008. I currently work for Google at their Atlanta office.

Research

I am interested in management of distributed, dynamic data. Specifically, I work on the S3 project. In the past, I have worked on sensor networks, distributed data streams, and improving web performance in broadcast-unicast networks.

Cool stuff

• My Erdös Number is Three.
• (Involved till May 2007) I co-founded a Web-based startup Buxfer.com that helps twenty-somethings track their debts and personal expenses. Buxfer got fantastic news coverage, in mainstream media (Post-Gazette, Washington Post), in popular blogs ( LifeHacker, TechCrunch, NetBanker) and of course CMU ( CMU website, SCS website, CMU newspaper).
• Ported the TPC-W implementation  in Java to Tomcat+Mysql.
