I completed my PhD in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in August 2014. I was part of the Graphics Lab and my academic adviser is professor Jessica Hodgins. My PhD thesis is on facial animation and perception.

My past research focused on improving virtual reality environments. I have also worked on, and am interested in, biomechanics and gait analysis.

I grew up in Romania, went to high school in Constanta by the Black Sea. In 2008 I graduated with a B.A. in computer science from Mount Holyoke College. Around graduation time, I spent several months at the Max Planck for Biological Cybernetics in Tuebingen, Germany as a visiting student/intern.
I try to reply to e-mail promptly so drop me a line for questions, code, ideas.
