March 9, 2005: Lemur toolkit version 3.1.2 is backwards compatible with older versions up to and including 3.0. Except for uses of BasicIndex classes and its supporting classes, which have been permanently deprecated. Additionally, Visual C++ project files are now included in the source. For more details about new functionality, deprecated classes, and bug fixes see our release notes for 3.1.2. This version has been tested on Windows XP (.NET) and on linux and solaris (gcc 3.2.3 and 3.4).
May 5, 2004: Lemur toolkit version 2.2.1 has been tested on Windows XP (VC++ 6.0 and .NET) and on linux and solaris (gcc 3.2.2 and 3.2.3). The Lemur Retrieval GUI jars were built using J2SDK 1.4.2_02. This version 2.2.1 is just a bug release from version 2.2. Please see our release notes for full details. January 28, 2005: Indri separate download includes the IndriIndex, Indri structured query language retrieval source code and applications, as well as GUI's for indexing and retrieval. This is ideal for users who do not need the functionality of the rest of the Lemur Toolkit and would like to get an index, with full parsing and retrieval capabilities, up and running fairly quickly.
