LCR98 Instructions for Authors

FINAL PAPERS (JULY 1 DEADLINE)

Hardcopy and electronic versions of the proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag as part of their LNCS series. Full papers are limited to 16 pages. Short papers are limited to 8 pages. To prepare your paper, please follow Springer's detailed author instructions.

Papers should be prepared using Latex2e or Latex so I can format and paginate the final version of the proceedings before sending it on to Springer. If you don't have access to Latex2e or Latex, please contact me at droh@cs.cmu.edu.

You'll need to send me a single-sided hardcopy, as well as the files you used to create the hardcopy (e.g., the tex, .dvi, and .ps files). I've created a directory for each paper in /afs/cs.cmu.edu/usr/lcr98/ftp/contact-author, where "contact-author" is the email name of the contact author, which you can access via anonymous ftp to n2.sp.cs.cmu.edu, or via cd and cp if your institution runs AFS. Here's how to do the transfer via anonymous ftp:

% ftp n2.sp.cs.cmu.edu
% login: ftp
% passwd: [your email address]
% cd /afs/cs/usr/lcr98/ftp/
% dir [to verify that contact-author is there]
% cd contact-author
% [transfer files with put and/or mput]
