This picture reminisces the Carnegie Bosch course I assisted and participated in the summer of 1993. The course was a unique ride with experienced successful hi-tech industry managers who take nine weeks for a hands on experience of state of the art management processes and high technology commercialization techniques, including an exposure of what constitutes Hi-Tech. The participants are shot out of the barrel with a one week intensive training on Coverdale's "Systematic Approach to Problem Solving", a technique which is designed to bring out the best in a given group and get the job done on time, even when the job is loosely specified or under-specified. There is an undercurrent of service to the customer that permeates the approach. Other interesting experiences include special lectures from the finest in all sorts of dimensions including technology, Management, Service, Finance and International Management. Another very cool aspect to the whole experience is the informal, personal team spirit that is generated at the beginning and maintained throughout. This makes for great summer barbeques and lively exchanges. A lot of the participants were from Germany and Italy, so we had a mini-cultural exchange going. The 1993 Carnegie Bosch people included (this is from memory, please do not get offended if i missed you, your first/ last name):
