Leman Akoglu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University.
She received her B.S. in Computer Science at Bilkent University, graduating with a 2nd rank in the department.
She won two best paper awards.
She has published 14 refereed articles in major data mining venues. 
She is one of the inventors of three U.S. patents, filed by IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. 
Her research interests include anomaly and event detection in large dynamic graphs.
