Biography

Zipline | Aurora Innovation | Uber ATG | Carnegie Mellon | UC Berkeley

I'm a robotics engineer with over a decade of experience spanning academic research and industry. I enjoy developing and applying cutting edge techniques from machine learning, robotics and perception to solve impactful real world problems. I'm based in the Bay Area, California.

I'm currently at Zipline, building out perception capabilities for the world's largest autonomous drone network, on a mission to deliver vital medical supplies to all parts of the world. I previously spent 6 years working on perception for self driving vehicles - at Aurora Innovation (where I joined as a founding engineer) and at Uber ATG.

I hold a Masters degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, where I did research at the intersection of ML and neuroscience, before leaving the PhD program early to go work on self driving cars. I did my Bachelors in EECS from UC Berkeley where I had lots of fun nerding out on everything from robots to satellites to nanotechnology.
