About Me

I am a first year PhD student at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA. I am also affiliated with the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition in Pittsburgh. My research involves developing and applying machine learning techniques to understand how populations of neurons process information. I am interested in gaining a better understanding of how the brain works, and in the implications of this to medical technology as well as to AI/Robotics. Professor Byron Yu will be my advisor during this quest.

I completed my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the amazing University of California, Berkeley . While at Berkeley, I was part of the Robot Learning Lab headed by Professor Pieter Abbeel.
