I'm a post-doctoral fellow at the Machine Learning Department in CMU, working with Prof. Eric Xing. I'm staying at 8116 Gates-Hillman Center (GHC). My current research interests are focusing on statistical machine learning with applications to computer vision, text mining, and web mining. See my recent projects and publications for more details.

Research:

  • Research Intrests
    • Statistical Machine Learning, Probabilistic Graphical Models
    • Applications in Text Minining, Computer Vision, Social Media Analysis, etc.

  • Research Experience
  • Current Projects
    • Joint max-entropy and max-margin learning: We present a novel framework called Maximum Entropy Discrimination Markov Networks (MaxEntNet) for learning structured prediction models. The MaxEntNet in its full generality offers a number of important advantages (more ...)
    • Learning discriminative latent representation: We propose the max-margin topic models (MedLDA) for latent topic discovery, and the partially observed MaxEnDNet (PoMEN) for max-margin learning with hidden variables (more ...)
    • Applications: I'm working on computer vision, text mining, and social media analysis problems (more ...)
