This is our work towards achieve body detection and
segmentation in one step. As a
side result, we are able to label the body parts as we computes its
segmentation from the background.

It describes our Human Activity Inference (HAI) work on detecting
and summarizing interesting human activities in video. This system requires only a rough
detection and tracking of the body and object. It takes advantage of the large
video database itself in defining typical activity patterns, and finding which
of them are more interesting or unusual.

It describes our work in automatically detecting and tracking
upper body motion in video. The
key feature of this system is that one does not require hand initialization of
the body configuration in the first frame. Detection and tracking are carried out on each image frame
using motion information.
