The local Latin 8-piece band, Guaracha, plays at Cozumel's Mexican Restaurant in Shadyside every Saturday night at 10:30pm. It is a 21-and-over event, and Guaracha plays their usual mix of Salsa, Merengue, and an occasional Cha-Cha. Cozumel's is located on Walnut Street in Shadyside. It can get crowded and hot, but it's a lot of fun. If you go before 10, the Mexican food is also very good. Lately other bands have also been playing at the Shadyside Cozumel's, including on Friday nights.
