Jorjeta Jetcheva, Ph.D.
Dr. Jetcheva has been involved in networking research for the past 12 years,
with a focus on the design, analysis, simulation and measurement evaluation of protocols and
algorithms for multi-hop ad hoc and mesh networks. She also served as Firetide's
Systems Architect for
5 years, where she was responsible for the design and evolution of Firetide's mesh product line.
Dr. Jetcheva has authored a number of research as well as IEEE and
IETF standards-related publications, and
regularly serves on program committees and advisory boards for networking research conferences. She received
a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University's
Computer Science Department in 2004, under the supervision
of Professor David B. Johnson,
defending a dissertation titled "Adaptive Demand-Driven Multicast Routing in Multi-Hop Mobile Ad Hoc Networks".
She received a B.A. degree in Computer Science (summa cum laude) and Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College.
Major Areas of Expertise:
Networking, mobile and wireless computing, routing protocols, network algorithms, performance analysis and simulation, multicast, distributed systems, peer-to-peer computing.
