Did you alter your /sys/conf/vax/SYSTEM_NAME configuration file to reflect the additional tape drive? If not, you'll need to do that and rebuild your kernel (edit the file and do a 'doconfig -c SYSTEMNAME') If so, do a 'show devices' to give us the system configuration.
