I have 2 cards without manuals. I am using a bnc cable between the 2 cards. I gather I have to set a separate address for each card, and also tell the card which port I am using (bnc). so a short listing of the jumpers would be most appreciated. Greg -- Via Xenolink 1.90 ********* requested data follows *************** From: SMTP%"tigner@paun01.pa.msu.edu" 12-SEP-1994 08:01:26.62 *************************************************** There are 3 sets of jumpers on the A2065 card -------------------------------------------------------------- | | | -- | | BNC | ABC -- | JP7 ABC | | XX ABC -- | | | JP1-JP6 | 15 pin | XXXXXX | dsub | -- -----|_____________________________|--------------------------| JP1-Jp6 are used for the interrupt, always leave this at JP2 the default. JP7 determines the ethernet type , jumper on = type 2, (default) jumper off = type 1, The ABC connectors selects whether you use the thick ethernet 15 pin dsub AUI cable connector or the BNC coax connector. They both run at the same speed. Jumpers on AB selects thin ethernet bnc coax. Jumpers on BC selects thick ethernet 15 pin dsub AUI. I recommend AmiTCP software freely available from Aminet sites as the ethernet software to use. You can find it in wuarchive's aminet directory in comm/net as version 2.2 with a 2.3 upgrade. A BETA version is available directly from the author(s) at kampi.hut.fi in the AmiTCP directory ,it is version 3.0b2 and really takes advantage of the newer WB 3.x. Good luck Barry
