Projects -- Implementation
Assistive TechnologySpring 2005
Prof. Jen Mankoff
The "implementation" component of your project is due on Monday, March 28th. You should come to class with a poster that you can use to tell the class about your project, and a three page writeup. You should follow these guidelines for reporting and writing about people with disabilities when writing this (and future) reports.
Your implementation document is a progress report. Depending on the arc of your project, you will have to decide exactly what goes in this document, and what will you will save for the last phase of the project. However, be careful not to leave too much for the end. The basic structure of your write-up is to remind us of the problem you are solving, and show how you are meeting the specific goals you have. The third phase of the project (evaluation) will be where you actually prove to me that you met those goals.
Your writeup should begin by giving a brief overview of your project (1/2 page), and then document what you learned during your test, or implementation. This documentation should include enough details that a reader could reproduce what you did. If you conducted all or some of an experiment during this phase of the project, this document should look like a typical experimental writeup. If on the other hand, you write code, you should document what you did at a level that is reproducible by the reader.
