Marinade
- 2 tablespoons oyster flavored sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped red pickled ginger
- 1 tablespoon chopped crystallized ginger
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons plum sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons julienne young ginger
1/4 cup pineapple chunks
1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 teaspoons water
Method
- Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add beef and stir to coat. Let ingredients stand for 10 minutes. Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl; set aside.
- Place a wok over high heat until hot. Add oil, swirling to coat sides. Add beef and stir-fry until barely pink, about 2 minutes. Add young ginger and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add pineapple and sauce; bring to a boil. Add cornstarch solution and cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens.
